As the name suggests, these labels are supplied in “Sleeve Form” (individual pieces) or “Roll Form” (multiple sleeves in a roll). The sleeves are then slipped over your containers and sent through a heat or steam tunnel where the intense heat shrinks the
film around the container. For containers that are irregularly shaped, we conduct intensive trials at our end. In case there is
cause for concern at the time of shrinking at your end, our expert team of industry specialists will gladly assist you with on-site
trials if required.
storage:
It is important to note that since the film is designed to respond when exposed to heat, it is vital that the sleeves do not get
exposed to extreme temperatures before they are applied to your containers. Temperatures above 35ºC can cause preshrinkage or affect the ink on the labels, which can impact the quality of the label and even render them unusable. PVC Shrink
Sleeves should ideally be stored below 30ºC.
Warehouses or other storage facilities can undergo fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels. Both of these can affect the
ink on the Shrink Sleeve or warp the label over time. Bearing this in mind, we encourage you to store your Shrink Sleeves in a
climate-controlled storage area, especially if you anticipate a delay between delivery and application.
